FIFA 2018 World Cup 2 Week’s Update Group Standings.
Group A:
The Host Country Russia, runner up of group, while Uruguay won the group by winning 2-0 against Russia. Uruguay did not play well offensively until their third game against Russia, a team which has shown consistently high energy.
Group B:
Portugal is playing very well with their super star Ronaldo living up to his reputation. I consider Ronaldo the best performer for his team so far in this 2018 World Cup. Portugal and Spain are tied with five points in their group and both tied their last group game. Spain advanced as winner of the group and Portugal advanced as runner up.
Group C:
France has advanced to the group of 16 with 6 points but Denmark with 4 points will have to wait until after the Group’s third games to find out if they will advance.
Group D:
Croatia has advanced from group D with wins against Argentina, the group favorite, and Nigeria. Croatia has shown that they are a very good team, while Nigeria needs a win or a tie against Argentina to advance.
Group E:
Brazil, Switzerland, and Serbia are still in the running to advance from their group.
Group F:
Mexico with 2 wins has advanced to the round of 16, and Germany and Sweden are still in the running to advance to the group of 16.
Group G:
Belgium and England already have advanced with two wins each, with one game left to play. Both Tunisia and Panama are already eliminated.
Group H:
Japan, Senegal and Columbia all have chances to win their group. The goal for each team is to win and advance at this point.
Japan and Senegal have four points each, and Columbia has three points.
