Queen Moremi was the wife of Oduduwa who applied wisdom and wits to defeat the marauding invaders of Ife land during her time. She made a huge sacrifice using her son as a pledge to gain access to victory and liberate her people from oppression. Today, her feats are being celebrated as part of the cultural heritage in keeping with the tradition of Yorùbá land.
An annual well-coordinated contest to become an ambassador of the Amazon, Queen Moremi Ajasoro is celebrated and contested yearly to honor her life achievements.
